2018 Event Information

Plans are underway now for the 2019 EWE in Syracuse. The 2018 information remains in place for now. We’ll add the 2019 details as they evolve, beginning in the late Summer.

Online registration will remain open through March 8. If you pre-register, bring your confirmation to the Express Registration desk onsite and use the barcode to quickly check in and pick up your badge. You may also register onsite at one of the non Express desks. Registration rates & passes.

Trade Show

Providing Everything an Eastern Vineyard or Winery Could Need. The exhibit hall offers face-to-face contact and hands-on demonstrations with all the suppliers, equipment and goods you want to see. Who will be there? Visit the Floor Plan to view a list of the exhibiting companies and show floor map. The 2018 show floor has once again sold out with just under 200 exhibiting companies all under one roof.

EWE Conference

The 2018 program features 35 Speakers and 30 sessions in Enology, Viticulture and Money / Marketing / Management. It kicks off March 6 with two full-day Workshops: one on Sparkling Wines; the other on Managing Microbes. The two day Conference includes 20 sessions and takes place on March 7-8.

Event Parking

The Lancaster Parking Authority offers six parking garages at the EWE discounted day rate of $7.00 and overnight rate of $9.00. A parking voucher is required. The closest garage is the Penn Square Garage, connected to the Marriott and Convention Center. For a map of other downtown parking areas, click here.

Parking Vouchers: If you have a guest room at the Marriott, bring your parking ticket to be validated at the hotel’s Front Desk. Parking is complimentary for Marriott guests (1 vehicle per room.) If you are just parking for the day (only one entry/exit per ticket), pick up a parking voucher at the EWE Registration Desk; you will need this plus your parking ticket when you exit the garage to secure the discounted rate.

The Eastern Winery Exposition brings together the combined expertise and experience of Bob Mignarri, Richard Leahy, and two knowledgeable and actively engaged advisory boards. Bob has 30+ years of successful trade show management experience and has earned a reputation among exhibitors as someone who recognizes and understands their needs and concerns. Richard Leahy is a renowned wine expert with 20+ years of experience in developing quality conference programs for the Eastern wine industry. Together they have a proven track record in helping other eastern wine industry shows to grow and become more successful.

Welcome Wine Reception
Tuesday, March 6, 6:00 – 7:30 pm

As a way of facilitating education and networking, we encourage everyone in the EWE community to share their knowledge and continue to learn about what others in the East are doing. What better way to do this than sharing and tasting each other’s wines?Opportunities to pour your own wine at your association, state or regional table at the Welcome Wine Reception are also available. Just because the EWE reception ends, it doesn’t mean the conversation and networking do. Join your fellow Eastern Winery Exhibitionistas in the Marriott Rendezvous Lounge immediately following the reception.

Buffet Lunch Social
Wednesday, March 7, 12:00 – 1:00 pm

Enjoy an informal, sociable buffet lunch with fellow attendees, speakers and exhibitors. It provides the perfect opportunity to continue the conversation begun in the morning sessions and to keep the learning going.

 

7th Annual EWE Industry Celebration Dinner
Wednesday, March 7, 6:45 – 8:15 pm

The evening begins with pre-dinner snacks, Eastern wine samplings, and a chance to mingle with your fellow attendees, speakers and exhibitors. Dinner immediately follows with the presentation of a special lifetime achievement award. It’s the perfect way to wind down from the first full day of EWE and to celebrate the start of a new growing season. Let’s raise a glass and celebrate!

The Silent Auction takes place during show hours and will feature a range of items from low to high value. Place your name and bid on the items you want, then return throughout the show to ensure you’ve not been outbid. All proceeds support the ASEV-ES scholarship fund.

You’ve raised your glass and now it’s time to raise your auction paddle! This lively event provides not only the opportunity for friendly bidding wars and potential bargains, but more importantly a chance to contribute to the next generation of industry talent via much-needed scholarship funding. This casual walk-around lunch buffet is a great way to meet the exhibiting companies and learn more about the products that can help you in your business. A variety of food options will be available, compliments of the 2018 EWE Exhibiting Companies. Free to all EWE attendees.

Blogging Station

The EWE Blogging Station is the place to go to spread the word about your wine. Bloggers will be standing by to sample your wine and blog about it in the blogosphere right from the show.

License to Steal Wine Marketing Conference

Wednesday & Thursday, March 7-8 | This is the conference where wineries, growers and ancillary entities willingly contribute and collaborate on marketing ideas, relationship building, and revenue generation. It includes the very popular ‘steal sessions’ where the best and newest marketing ideas are shared with attendees.  It is chaired by Donniella Winchell, Executive Director of the Ohio Wine Producers Association.

Two of the LTS conference sessions –M01 & M02– are a collaboration between the EWE and LTS conferences. All EWE Conference attendees have the option to select either or both of these two sessions as part of their EWE registration. LTS attendees will have complete access to the EWE Exhibit Hall and all of the EWE Featured and Partner Events. Visit the Registration page for the pass options and inclusions.

Wine Sensory Analysis Workshop

A sensory workshop that will benefit winemakers, cellar workers, winery staff, and wine enthusiasts who seek a deeper understanding of wine sensory evaluation and its impact on a winery’s success. March 4-5.
