Edward Trebets

Edward Trebets is currently the program director and lecturer for the KSU Enology and Viticulture associate’s degree program. Previously, Ed taught high school chemistry in the Beachwood City School District. More recently, Ed was the winemaker for Debonne Vineyards in Madison, Ohio for 12 years and also produced wines for Grand River Cellars and South River Vineyards. In his tenure, Ed garnished over 950 medals for his wines including 13 best of shows.

Ed and his business partner now own Urban Vintner in Willoughby, OH. Ed has a passion for winemaking and his goal now is to source the best quality fruit from Ohio and other parts of the country and even from select regions in the world. Ed strives to produce the highest quality wines by paying special attention to the fruit and the process.

Currently, Ed, Gina, and Jaxson live in Chesterland, Ohio with their yellow lab Paisley. In his spare time, Ed works on his own wine brand, Muddy Paw Wines. He also enjoys fly fishing, hunting, and spending as much time as possible with his beautiful family.
