Mike Williams
The Winery at Wilcox

President

Mike opened his first winery in Wilcox, PA in 1994, and is currently president of The Winery at Wilcox, Inc, which produces 15,000 cases annually, as well as 24,000 gallons annually to service a thriving bulk wine business. He has served on the board of directors of WineAmerica, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Wine Association, the Farm Bureau, and the Ohio Grape Industries Committee. Mike, along with his wife Carol, opened the Winery at Versailles, Ohio in October 2002, producing 20,000 cases and 35,000 gallons annually for the bulk wine market. Mike holds a BS from the University of Maryland and served in the European Theater of Operations for the Army Signal Corps from 1970 to 1978. He has had a long and varied career with stints ranging from meat-cutting to farming to communication electronics to real estate. He retired from the corporate world in 1998 to devote his time to the rewarding, frustrating, frantic world of wine in the Eastern U.S. (who needs money?!) Mike’s son Jamie serves as vice president and daughter Lisa as wholesale manager and manager of retail operations. In 2015 The Winery at Wilcox, Inc. added The Winery at Hunters Valley in Liverpool, Pennsylvania as grandson Gregg also entered the family business.
