Caroline’s introduction to viticulture began as an undergraduate research assistant for Dr. Anton Baudoin at Virginia Tech. Her main projects focused on fungicide resistance in grapevine powdery mildew, downy mildew and Botrytis. She completed her B.S. with a degree in Horticulture and minors in Viticulture and Spanish Language. As a Masters student at Virginia Tech, her studies in viticulture continue with Dr. Baudoin. Her current research is focused on fungal communities found in Virginia necrotic and healthy primary buds and their role in grapevine trunk disease.
