Fred is a fifth generation grower in the Finger Lakes region of New York, managing Wickham’s Tango Oaks Farm. The farm is situated in the center of the Finger Lakes “Banana Belt” on the east side of Seneca Lake with south westerly facing slopes. The farm has 25 acres of wine grapes along with other crops including cherries, peaches, pears and apples as well as a seasonal retail farm stand. Grape varieties include Pinot Noir, Riesling, Gruner Veltliner, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Cayuga White and Concord. Fred’s experience in the grape and wine business goes far beyond just being a grower. As a marketing consultant and creative, he has developed hundreds of labels and packing solutions for wineries all over the U.S. He also served as vice president of creative marketing at Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards.
