Managing Director

Georg is a WSET level 4 graduate and passed the theory part of the MW examination in 2018. He was born and lives in Austria in the region of Burgenland, especially known for the Blaufränkisch grape (aka Lemberger). He fell in love with wine in the mid-1990s and has been teaching about wine since 2001. As managing director of Wine Burgenland, he takes care of supporting marketing activities for the wines of Burgenland within Austria and in the export markets. Part of these activities are educational master classes and in-depth tastings of wines focusing on the specifics of origins and varieties.
