Associate Professor of Plant Science
Mengjun Hu is an Associate Professor of Plant Pathology and currently runs the grape and small-fruit pathology lab at the University of Maryland, College Park. Mengjun’s research has been primarily focused on fungicide resistance and epidemiology, with emphasis on Botrytis spp., Colletotrichum spp., and other common fungal pathogens associated with fruit rots. He is one of the original developers of the MyIPM app and led the content development for the grape section. His lab has previously revealed ontogenic susceptibility of grapevine ripe rot and developed models to better time fungicide sprays and minimize input.
