The Cork Quality Council is a non-profit organization comprised of leading U.S. cork suppliers. The Council was formed to develop industry standards for quality assurance practices and to provide an educational resource for natural cork. The CQC currently receives testing data from over 30,000 samples per year drawn from its members’ incoming cork shipments.In addition to working with the CQC Peter operates Deerfield Associates, a northern California consulting business focused on wine marketing. Peter transitioned to the wine business from mycological research in the commercial mushroom industry of neighboring Chester County. Winery experiences included management positions with Windsor, Rodney Strong and Lockwood Vineyards.
