Tim Weigle

Senior Extension Associate

Tim Weigle has over 29 years experience as the statewide grape and hops Integrated Pest Management specialist with the New York State IPM Program, Cornell Cooperative Extension.  As editor of the New York and Pennsylvania Pest Management Guidelines for Grapes, he has the opportunity to work with faculty and extension personnel to ensure the latest in IPM information is available to grape growers and members of the grape industry. Tim is the cofounder of the Network for Environment and Weather Applications (http://newa.cornell.edu) that provides weather and pest model information for grape growers in 25 states in the eastern, northeastern and midwestern U.S. In 2017 Tim received a NYS IPM Program’s Excellence in IPM Award, presented to those who develop new tools and tactics to speed the adoption of IPM. Tim is currently providing leadership through the NYS IPM Program in spotted lanternfly education and outreach as part of the NYS Spotted Lanternfly Incident Command System.
