East Coast & Midwest Technical Winemaker
Born and raised in Nashville, Laura is an enthusiastic advocate for Eastern wines. Her interest in food science and fermentation brought her to University of California, Davis, where she graduated in 2013 with a degree in Viticulture and Enology and a minor in French Language. From there, Laura began to harvest-hop globally and domestically, with stints in Burgundy, Tennessee, California, Oregon, New Zealand, Australia, and New York. She ultimately found a home in the Hudson River Region, NY, where she spent seven vintages making wine with Benmarl Winery. Laura loves making wine knowledge accessible to everyone and is excited to help elevate the reputation of Eastern wines and be a resource for winemakers. When not troubleshooting tricky cellar situations, Laura enjoys hiking, biking, listening to the radio, donating blood, and exploring the Hudson Valley, where she calls home.
