Angela Paul

Lead Lab Manager

Angela Paul is the lead lab manager of Dr. Katie Gold’s lab at Cornell AgriTech in Geneva, NY. The Gold lab specializes in vineyard disease management through the early detection of grape disease using remote sensing technologies and testing sustainable fungicides. Within this position, Angela oversees all laboratory and greenhouse research as well as organizing field campaigns and operating remote sensing equipment during the growing season. She specializes in soil sampling and assays but has since added remote sensing to her set of skills. Prior to joining the Gold Lab, Angela received her master’s degree from McGill University in Montreal, QC, where she studied sustainable propagation protocols for Canada’s strawberry industry. She also spent time studying in Cork, Ireland in a plant biotechnology lab, where she furthered her love for plant and soil science. When she’s not working, you can catch Angela skiing, gaming, or spoiling her cats.
