Partner

Anthony is a partner with the accounting firm of Mengel, Metzger, Barr and Company, located in Upstate New York. He has been with the firm for 26 years and his practice focuses on tax planning and compliance for closely held businesses, individuals, estates and trusts. He also practices in the area of business valuations and leads the Firm’s agribusiness and alcoholic beverage industry practice group.

Anthony received his B.S. degree in Accounting from St. John Fisher College and received his Juris Doctor degree from Syracuse University’s College of Law. He is a Certified Public Accountant with the State of New York and is licensed as an attorney in New York State.  He holds the business valuation credentials of Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) with the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant’s (AICPA) designation of Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV).

His professional affiliations include the AICPA, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Estate Planning Council of Rochester, and the Monroe County, New York State and American Bar Associations. He is the current Chair of the Tax Section of the Monroe County Bar Association and has served as Chair of the Tax Committee of the Rochester Chapter of the New York State Society of CPAs.
