David Campbell

Graduate Researcher

David is a graduate researcher pursuing a PhD at the Penn State University’s Department of Food Science. He has worked in the lab of Dr. Joshua Lambert since 2021, studying grape phenolic chemistry and regional variability related to hybrid grapes grown in Pennsylvania. David has received grants from the USDA’s Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) program as well as Penn State’s Competitive Grant Program to study wine tannin extractability, regional variability in grape chemistry, and grape cell-wall composition. He has presented the results of this work at the American Society of Enology and Viticulture’s National Conference in 2023 and Eastern Conference in 2024.
