Program Director

With 21 international cooperages under its umbrella, Tonnellerie Francois Freres (TTF) is the largest barrel cooperage company in the world. As a TTF program director Rob travels the U.S. and the Caribbean consulting with wine makers and craft distillers, guiding them through the nuances of oak maturation to match varietals, terroir and flavor profiles. He trains regularly with the Research & Development teams in France, Spain and California. Rob also oversees Speyside Specialty Casks – his pet project – where he imports specialty casks from France, Spain, Portugal, Madeira and Italy for cask finishing wine and spirits.
