David is a longtime wine writer having begun his career in the Finger Lakes. He continues to write a weekly wine column for several publications in Pennsylvania. He is the former executive director of the American Wine Society, the oldest and largest organization of wine consumers in the U.S., where he also served as publisher of the AWS Wine Journal. David has a Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from the Kania School of Management at the University of Scranton and he teaches bartending and bar management. He is a member of the Order des Compagnons du Beaujolais. For several years he was an elector in the Vintners Hall of Fame in Napa Valley.
